The Most Systematic Way to Manage BJJ Techniques

Hello. I’m Quartz, a developer building Post Black Belt to help make your jiu-jitsu life more enjoyable and healthy. It’s been a while since my last update-how has everyone been? Recently, we’ve made significant upgrades to the technique hashtag system in Post Black Belt, and I’m grateful for the positive feedback from so many users. I feel proud whenever I see your posts and updates on social media and blogs.
In this post, I’d like to briefly explain the recent feature updates and their purposes.
Technique Graph

After more than three years of training jiu-jitsu, I still find it difficult to define exactly what techniques I know and what my specialties are. Although I often feel like I’m using the same techniques, my jiu-jitsu style actually evolves as I learn new techniques over time. However, it’s hard to notice these changes on my own. To help visualize the techniques I’ve recorded in my journal at a glance, I created the “Technique Graph” tab.
Within the app, you can now easily view an overview of each technique, complete with photos, descriptions, and related techniques. Since there are so many techniques and so many variables depending on weight class, body type, and other factors, recording your unique jiu-jitsu journey will create a special technique graph that captures your path to black belt.
Enhanced Technique Hashtags

With the introduction of the technique graph, weekly/monthly reports and the My Page’s technique hashtags have also been enhanced. Since there are so many hashtags, it can be inconvenient to enter each one manually in your journal. Now, by using Poble AI’s automatic hashtag selection, you can write your journal entries more easily!
Poble AI Technique Recommendations

It’s not easy to write a journal after every tough training session. To support your technical learning, Poble AI now recommends techniques for you! Learning individual techniques is important, but familiarizing yourself with related sequences will also help you during sparring. Recently, a user provided feedback on linked techniques, and we’re working to make this feature even easier and more satisfying to use. Thank you for your feedback!
Upgraded Belt Storage

The Belt Storage has become more popular than expected. I’ve now reached Blue Belt 3 stripes myself, and have accumulated quite a few promotion dates. The update now allows you to see your promotion periods and dates at a glance. I personally enjoy collecting different colors and types of belts-I even have four blue belts! How about you? I think it would be even more fun if you could choose the tone or shape of your belt.
In Closing
This year, Post Black Belt aims to go beyond just a diary app and become a tool that supports a fun and healthy jiu-jitsu life for over a decade. Are you enjoying the new features? Your feedback is always welcome, so please feel free to reach out anytime. Wishing you a healthy and enjoyable year of jiu-jitsu!
